Co-Operative Group welcomes wind farm decision
Proposed wind farm for Langford and Biggleswade.
THE Co-Operative Group has welcomed the approval of the Langford wind farm application.
Rob Ellis, sustainable development manager believes the facility will be beneficial not just for the area but for the country as a whole.
He said: ““We know that many people will be pleased with this decision.
“Some 88 per cent of residents say they would prefer to use renewable energy sources such as wind power and 89 per cent believe that Central Bedfordshire has a role to play in helping to tackle climate change.
“We will continue to consult with residents throughout the construction of the wind farm and will start work to establish a community trust fund to help local people support environmental and energy efficiency schemes.”
