A folk singer, guitarist and comedian will be taking to the stage at a pub.
Richard Digance will appear at The Bell in Sandy’s Station Road on Saturday, April 19.
He will be joined by pianist and fellow comedian, Matt Black.
Landlord John Welbourn is delighted to have such a prestigious performer play at the venue.
He said: “I imagine it’s going to be a night of music and fun because Richard Digance is a funny guy.
“And Matt Black is on many, many records and he has performed in front of most of the royalty of this country. I knew him 20 years ago when I was in a pub in Weymouth.
“Matt has travelled to Sandy before four or five times since I’ve been here. We were talking about old times and he said about Richard Digance and this is how it’s all come about.”
Richard Digance is certainly a performer worth hearing and seeing. He has even played a guitar duet with Queen’s Brian May.
Richard has a loyal following and a wide appeal, from the younger generation who are attracted by both his guitar playing and the fact he has inspired many modern-day performers, to the long term fans who have followed him since the time he had his own ITV series and even further when he started out in folk clubs.
Richard currently has a packed diary of gigs taking place around the country.
The Bell’s gig will take place in a marquee in the pub’s grounds with the music starting at 8pm.
Tickets cost £10 and they are available from John on 01767 680267, 07412 651480 or firstname.lastname@example.org
