Coronation Street star to appear at pound shop

Coronation Street star Mikey North will be making an appearance at a new pound shop on Saturday (December 1).

Mikey, who plays Gary Windass in the soap will be at the new Poundland in Biggleswade from 10am.

The Market Square store will open its doors for the first time on Thursday (November 29).

On Saturday Mikey will be giving out £1 vouchers as part of a family fun day which will include special competitions and promotions.

The outlet is creating 35 new jobs in the town.
