Couple join TV debate
Nursery owners take part in television chat show
A married couple joined celebrity presenters in a live debate broadcast on national television.
Chris and Jackie Townson, both directors at Toybox Day Nursery, were invited to discuss whether men or women make better bosses on the ITV1 show 3@three.
The couple arrived at the show on Thursday, August 12 as audience members with no idea that they would be put under the spotlight.
Researchers from the topical debate show asked the couple to go on camera as their situation of being husband and wife directors of a company was unique to the audience.
Moments later, the couple, who have six children between them, were on live television and joined by celebrities Gloria Hunniford, Mark Durden-Smith and Loose Women presenter Andrea McLean.
Chris said: "The camera zooms in on your face and the next thing you know you're on live TV. It was very entertaining."
