Decking the halls with scout group

Cubs, beavers and scouts held a Christmas fair at the weekend.

The youngsters from the 1st Sandy Scout Group enjoyed Saturday’s event at the Sunderland Road Scout Headquarters.

The decorated plate competition for beavers and cubs, which was judged by Mrs Bernie Brown, was won by beaver, Deacon Smith, and cub, Zac Oliver. Mayor Susan Sutton presented the prizes.

The fair raised £500 and £50 of this will be donated to Different Strokes. This charity supports younger stroke survivors.
