There could be a shake-up to the list of proposed Gypsy and Traveller sites.
Central Beds Council has said it will consider changes to its draft Gypsy and Traveller Local Plan following the public consultation. These include changes to the list of sites.
Councillor Nigel Young, executive member for sustainable communities (strategic planning and economic development), said: “We received a good number of representations about our draft Gypsy and Traveller Local Plan and we’ve listened and taken on board those responses.
“Some of these suggest some changes should be made to the plan and the list of sites before we submit it to the Secretary of State.”
“As a result, the overview and scrutiny committee will examine the recommendations on Thursday, October 10 before a decision is made by the executive and full council.”
The analysis of the consultation has been completed and a summary of the responses is available on the council’s website at www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/gypsytravellerplan
Details will be published later this month.
