Drivers and parishioners can discuss the plan for updates at the Black Cat Roundabout.
The Highways Agency will be changing the A1 roundabout near Roxton next year to reduce problems with queueing.
Central Beds Councillor Doreen Gurney, who has been campaigning for the road improvements, said: “I’ve had thousands of emails about it and we’ve got a broad band of support from different angles.”
However some people have told her that widening the road near the roundabout and adding traffic lights will not be enough. They want a flyover.
Mrs Gurney said: “This is the first stage of the upgrade of the A1. It should have been in place when they originally did it; it is virtually the same plan as when they built it 15 years ago but they scaled it down because of the budget.
“The roundabout has to be this size to give room to put the feet of a flyover in in the future.”
The land surrounding the roundabout has to be claimed for the roundabout now, before it is built on, making expansion impossible, she added.
To see and discuss the plans go to Great Barford Village Hall at 7pm on Tuesday, September 3.
