Don’t wait on fete!
PREPARATIONS are under way for a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee fete and would-be stallholders are being urged to get in touch.
The Shefford Jubilee Fete will take place on Saturday, June 2 at the Shefford Town Memorial Hall and grounds.
Organisations in the area are being invited to take part in the event but organisers are asking interested parties to make contact as soon as possible.
The Shefford Jubilee Princess will be crowned on the day and there will also be stalls, arena events, steam engines, swing boats, a beer tent and barbecue.
Spaces for further attractions are limited. Volunteers are also being sought to help out on the day.
The fete will run from 1pm to 5pm and in the evening there will be a 1960s themed night, starting at 8pm.
All proceeds from the day will go towards the hall new build fund.
