Dreams to reality for star students
Local theatre school to set up own agency
Stars of the stage and screen may soon be joined by promising performers from across Chronicle Country thanks to a new talent agency.
Aspiring actors and actresses have been able to hone their skills at Dreams Theatre School, which holds weekly classes in Biggleswade and Stotfold, for the past two years.
The theatre and performing arts workshops have been so successful that the school is now branching out and forming the Dreams Acting & Modelling Agency to help push its star students into professional shows.
Catherine Stacey, who runs the school with fellow actress Kate Barker, said: "We have been running in Biggleswade for a couple of years and we have a few talented youngsters so we thought we would start an agency to help promote them and others in the area.
"The advantage of the agency is we will send all of their information off to casting directors and any touring shows coming into the area."
The school's principals hope the agency will give youngsters a helping hand to making it big in the fiercely competitive industry.
Auditions for the agency will take place later this month with the agency scheduled to be up and running by September.
A summer school, giving youngsters the chance to hone their skills in everything from music and dance to set design and costume making, is also taking place at the Roecroft Centre in Stotfold between Monday, July 27 and Friday, July 31.
