Eco room to inspire students
Eco classrooms will help pupils to learn about their environment.
Sandye Place Academy has explained the appearance of a shipping container on site close to the river.
Principal Kim McCamley said: “The river provides an ideal location offering wonderful biodiversity for the students to explore.
“A window will provide a lovely safe environment for the students to study the wildlife along the river and surrounding woodland encourage pupils to take more responsibility for their environment.”
The location was approved by the planning and conservation team at Central Beds Council and care has been taken to ensure the cabin works with the surrounding environment.
It was designed by Sandy businessman, Max McMurdo.
