Enjoy the taste of cider

PREPARATIONS are being completed for a pub’s second cider festival.

Following the success of the 1st Henlow Cider and Country Wine Festival, the Engineers Arms will be holding another from Thursday, February 16 to Sunday, February 19.

There will be more than 50 ciders, perrys and meads on offer as well as around 12 country wines.

Landlord Kevin Machin said: “We have sourced our ciders from throughout the country and cider fans can sample such wonderfully named tipples as Badgers Spit, Dog Dancer, Suicider, Chucklehead, Leg Bender, Janet’s Jungle Juice, Sledgehammer and Impeared Vision to name but a few.”

The traditional pork pies and cheese ploughmans will be available daily.
