The Great Global Greyhound Walk (GGGW) incorporates national and international walks to raise awareness of greyhounds, and all ex-working sighthounds, as pets and to highlight the plight that these dogs may face after retirement.

The aim is to have as many dogs walking at the same time for maximum visual impact.

The Biggleswade leg takes place at 10am on Sunday, June 19, and is open to anyone with one or more greyhounds, whippets, lurchers and other sighthound breeds in their family. If you have non-sighthound breeds within your sighthound family, they can come along too. Meet at the Dan Albone car park, off Royal Oak Close, before 10am.

The walk entails a gentle stroll across Biggleswade Common – with an optional paddle in the Ivel – past Shortmead House and back to the Dan Albone memorial.

Take a picnic and meet other hound people after the walk, weather permitting.

All donations will be split between GGGW and Accolade Hounds and go towards the costs of rehoming hounds.

Contact Rob Hine to confirm your attendance at [email protected] or 07826 845000.
