Happy days with new playground games to explore and enjoy

Youngsters can play to their hearts’ content.

New equipment has been added to the playground at the Henry Smith Playing Fields in Potton. Along with the new outdoor gym at the same location, it was officially opened on Saturday (October 13).

The equipment was funded by Potton Consolidated Charities and the group’s chairman, Charles Belcher, cut the ribbon.

Potton Town Council chairman, Alan Leggatt, said: “Quite a lot of people turned out.

“There are some new basket swings, a ring that goes round called a supernova, two swings that go back and forth and one on a swivel so it swings in all directions.

“There is also a new climbing frame for the older children and a smaller one for the little ones.”

There is a tunnel but that has not yet been opened as the turf is still being grown on it.

A zip wire has also been installed and some of the old equipment is still available.
