Health cafe in historic building is now courting customers

A new cafe in a town centre is serving healthy and freshly-prepared food.

The Courtyard Cafe in Biggleswade High Street is part of the new Courtyard Centre for Health and Wellbeing.

The cafe, which specialises in soups, hot meals, home-baked cakes and desserts opened earlier this month.

It is the brainchild of Dianne Kenny and her twin daughters Tamsin and Beth, who have redeveloped the former St Andrew’s Place building.

The cafe will trade alongside a holistic health centre which will open early in the New Year.

It will include therapy rooms offering a variety of massage treatments, herbal medicine, osteopathy, homeopathy, acupuncture and other therapies.

There will also be two studios for yoga, pilates and dance classes.

Landscape work to the inner courtyard is under way, including the building of a new staircase.
