Housing office to leave town

A HOUSING association is set to close its office in one Chronicle Country town.
Aragon Housing Association is a major housing provider in this area. It will be closing its office in Sandy at the end of the month, although there will be a limited presence in the town until the end of March.
But there will only be three redundancies.
Aileen Evans, managing director for Aragon Housing Association, said: “The vast majority of staff currently located at the Sandy office will transfer to the association’s head office in Ampthill.
“Our customers will still deal with the same people they do now and moving gives more opportunity for staff to visit customers in their own homes.”
