Improving the countryside by your town
A SHORT walk in the countryside will be the precursor to a new community group.
Sandy Town Council, in conjunction with Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity and Central Bedfordshire Council, is hoping to form a P3 Group in Sandy.
A P3 Group – people, projects, partnerships – would have the aim of improving the Sandy area for both wildlife and people.
It would be funded by Central Beds Council and managed by the council and its partners to encourage parish based community groups to enjoy, improve and understand their local countryside.
If you enjoy walking in Sandy’s countryside and have an interest in keeping it looking its best then you can join other potential members on a short stroll.
The walk will start at 1.30pm on Saturday, March 17, starting from the Sandy Tourist Information Centre.
