Inspiring people need recognition

Inspiration by people's stories is one reason why sponsors of our Pride in Bedfordshire awards want to support the community.

Nominations are now invited for the 2016 awards, to recognise the efforts of those unsung heroes and heroines, launched this year in association with the Harpur Trust and Costa, supported by Quantum Print.

The Pride in Bedfordshire awards will be presented at Bedford Corn Exchange on Thursday, November 3, with guest Jon Moses, a finalist in ITV’s Superstar.

The teams at sponsors Costa are always looking at ways they can help and support the community.

Kieron Whiley, Costa community engagement officer, said: “Costa is once again proud to be sponsoring the Pride in Bedfordshire awards and we are excited to join everyone at the presentation ceremony. It is always with great pride that we attend these events. It’s so inspiring to hear people’s stories as it gives us the opportunity to support and reward people in the Bedfordshire community.

“Our teams are dedicated to their customers and the community they serve, and always looking for ways to support their local community from providing reading books for schools, supporting stall holders at charity events or holding tea parties in store for unwell children and their families.

“We look forward to announcing the winner of the community award this year and wish everyone the best of luck with their entries.”
