St John Ambulance will be giving demonstrations of vital first aid skills at a special event on Saturday (October 5).
The charity has been running its annual Save a Life September campaign for the third year running.
It will come to a head in Chronicle Country at the demonstration event, which will take place at ASDA in Biggleswade from 10am to 4pm.
Anyone who attends can learn how to save a life using five easy-to-follow techniques.
Free pocket-sized first aid guides will also be available to take away and carry in case of an emergency.
Paul Knighton, St John Ambulance’s training and community projects manager in the East of England said: ‘Learning first aid is one of the single most important things you can do in your life.
“You never know when you may need it – at work, at home, in school, playing sport – you just don’t know. “With basic first aid skills, anyone can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.
“And what could be more important than saving someone’s life?”
