History came alive for pupils at a middle school.
The Year 6 children at Henlow Academy spent Wednesday, October 9 learning about the Ancient Greeks in their Living History day. Activities included making Greek pots, learning about Greek tragedies, digging and excavating artefacts and participating in a huge Greek banquet whilst dressed up in Greek costumes.
Susannah Goward, head of humanities, said: “Pupils had a great day and it is a fantastic opportunity for them to find out more about Greek society, Greek food and Greek life.
“We love organising days like this as it really brings history alive for our pupils.”
