Remember your loved ones and help a hospice by taking place in a magical midnight stroll.
The Sue Ryder St John’s Hospice Starlight Hike will be held very close to home this year; starting in Moggerhanger Park.
The charity walk will be magically lit and walkers will be entertained by many musical and dance acts to inspire and encourage hikers.
There will also be more reflective parts of the walk where walkers will experience both flautists and a band playing tranquil music as they make their way through the woods. The hike will then proceed to the hospice itself.
It is on the walk through the hospice grounds that participants will come across one of the highlights of the event - the Starlight Avenue where a harpist will welcome them.
Here, walkers can remember lost loved ones by hanging a commemorative star on one of the beautifully lit memory trees on the route.
The hike will take place on Saturday, September 14. It is the charity’s 60th anniversary this year.
Concept Events of Cardinton has helped organise it. The target is £100,000.
