Man arrested after pensioner dies in collision

19-year-old bailed after incident

A teenager has been arrested and bailed after an 80-year-old man died in a collision on Dunstable Road yesterday evening.

The incident happened at around 4.40pm when a green Ford Focus was in collision with the pensioner close to the junction with Lewsey Road.

He was rushed to the nearby Luton & Dunstable Hospital where he later died from his injuries.

Police arrested the driver of the Ford Focus, a 19-year-old from Dunstable, but he was later released on bail.
