Villagers whose homes were flooded with raw sewage attended a public meeting on Thursday (January 3).
Tempsford Parish Council organised the meeting after sewage entered homes and gardens in the village over Christmas following a pump station failure.
Representatives from Anglian Water – which operates the pump station – were due to attend the gathering at the Tempsford Methodist Church school room.
The parish council says it has been appealing to Anglian Water to upgrade the pump station in the village for years.
Homes in and around Station Road were affected before, during and after Christmas.
One couple had to abandon Christmas lunch and put their guests up in a hotel after the sewage started coming up through their parquet floor.
