Mother's charity walk in memory of daughter

Walk will raise cash for Borderline Personality Disorder charity.

A mother is organising a sponsored walk in memory of her daughter who died tragically last year.

Sue Sheppard from Biggleswade will complete the 10k route in recognition of Charlotte Sheppard. She will be joined by 20 of her friends, family members and friends of her daughter.

The 19-year-old suffered from Borderline Personality Disorder, an illness which causes impulsive behaviour and sudden mood swings. I

n February 2009 Charlotte, who lived in Poplar Close, Sandy, stabbed herself in the chest in a single impulsive action of self-harm which resulted in her death.

The walkers will be raising money for BPD World. This is the only registered charity for sufferers of Borderline Personality Disorder.

The charity provides online support, advice and one-to-one counselling for people with the illness and their loved ones.

Sue, who lives in The Rowlands, has been raising money for the cause for more than a year.

To sponsor Sue or to help her collect change visit the Fundraising in Memory of Charlotte Sheppard for BPD World Facebook page or call her on 01767 222579.
