A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic collision.

The man, who was in his 50s, was on Sandy Road (B1042) near Potton on Wednesday evening.

The incident happened at around 6.30pm as the rider of a dark grey Suzuki Hayabusa – which was travelling towards Potton – approached a long left hand bend just past the Deepdale crossroads.

It is believed that the rider lost control of his motorcycle and then came off his bike. He was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.

PC Gareth Rees from the Roads Policing Unit would like to hear from anyone with any information and particularly from another motorcyclist who was travelling in the same direction shortly before the incident took place.

Call him on 01438 757500 or email gareth.rees@herts.pnn.police.uk
