North-East Beds MP Alistair Burt has welcomed plans to reform the social care system.

He said they would benefit the area.

Mr Burt said: “I was pleased to hear Jeremy Hunt’s announcement last week of plans to reform the current social care system.

“One in three of us will suffer from dementia and one in 10 of us will incur care costs of up to £100,000 and beyond.

“The Minister’s plans will tackle this issue of rising care costs.”
