MP supports prayers with politics

PRAYERS in Parliament are being supported by Alistair Burt, MP for North East Bedfordshire.
Mr Burt spoke out after courts ruled that prayers at a local council in Devon were not legal. He said: “I regret the sense of intolerance behind the action taken, that those who do not wish to hear public prayer simply step outside for a few moments, rather than make some drama out of it.
“The growing intolerance towards public faith is a worrying and unnecessary trend, and not compatible with a balanced society in which it, like secularism, has its place. “
