Staff at a pre-school are celebrating after it was judged to be good in an Ofsted report.
Rainbow Pre-School in Biggleswade is praised by inspectors – following a previous inspection which found the Brunts Lane pre-school to be inadequate.
The early years provision, its contribution to the well-being of children and the effectiveness of leadership and management are all given a rating of 2 – or good – in the report.
Inspectors spent two days at the pre-school.
A spokesman for Rainbows Pre-School said: “The amount of progress made since the previous inspection of October last year has been phenomenal.
“In under nine months new pre-school director Julia Khan and managers Vickie Sharp and Emily Hall have worked incredibly hard, along with all the staff at Rainbow.”
The spokesman also pointed out that the pre-school has always previously received good reports, but that its move to the grounds of St Andrew’s Lower School and expansion have brought with them new challenges.
The report says the pre-school can still improve in its activity planning and methods of teaching children about diversity.
