Prepare for battle!

Battle of Great Barford Bridge re-enacted

An historic battle will be raging in Great Barford this weekend as the Sealed Knot descends upon the village.

Cavaliers and roundheads will be clashing as the group re-enacts the battle of Great Barford Bridge on the Riverside Meadows this weekend.

Battle commences at 2pm on both days – but there is much more to enjoy during the event.

A living history village will be showing life at the time of the Civil War, and there will also be a craft fair, amusement rides, refreshments, stalls, displays and more.

The famous Bedfordshire Clanger will also be on sale and it is hoped there will be a fly past by the legendary Red Arrows display team on Saturday.

Gates open at 10am until 5pm on Saturday and 10am until 4pm on Sunday.

Entry is 4 for adults, 2 for children and free for the under fives.
