Rector’s departing gift

A rector left his parish after a final service on Sunday (February 3).

Reverend Derwyn Williams had been at St Swithun’s Church in Sandy for 12 years.

Parishioner Rodney Patterson presented the rector with an oak book trough, which he made himself, after his final service.

Mr Williams will now be the vicar of St Michael’s Church in Bishop’s Stortford.
