This month is Scam Awareness Month –and Central Beds Council is encouraging residents sign to up to its email alert service.

Cllr Brian Spurr said: “Scam artists will tend to seek out and target the elderly and vulnerable, but we are all just as likely to be targeted by a scam, whether it is by phone, text, email or letter.

“We want to raise awareness of scams as well as working behind the scenes to stop them.

“By signing up to our email alert service, you can get information about scams reported as operating in the area straight to your inbox and you can also follow our updates on Twitter and Facebook too.”
