A school is inviting former students to return and help it celebrate its 75th anniversary.
Robert Bloomfield Academy in Shefford is holding a special day of celebration to mark the event on Friday, September 20.
Elderly residents in the Shefford area will be taking a tour of the school and swapping memories of their school days.
There will also be special events for students throughout the day who, like staff, will be wearing 1930s style dress.
Then after school there will be a fair, running from 3.30pm to 5.30pm.
This will be open to the public and will include a variety of stalls, games and attractions themed especially on the 1930s.
Steve Fox, deputy headteacher, said: “Everyone is very much looking forward to the day and especially to welcoming back some of our former students.
“We have liaised closely with community groups in the town to enable this.”
The school will also be celebrating the anniversary as part of the Shefford Gala on Sunday, September 22.
