Middle school pupils are creating their own radio show.
Each week the Sandye Place Academy students are working with Martin Steers from the Broadcasting for Schools Programme, which is part of the Schools Radio Network.
By planning and creating the weekly episodes the children gain a greater understanding of radio and the media. It also increases their confidence and gives them an idea for a possible career.
Martin said: “Broadcasting for Schools not only helps students engage further with curriculum subjects but we also see an increase in confidence and communication skills.”
