Schools to save energy

editorial image

Schools in Chronicle Country are taking part in a new energy conservation scheme.

Derwent Lower School in Henlow, Fairfield Park Lower in Stotfold, Burgoyne Middle in Potton, Langford Lower and Campton Lower are all participating in the EDF Energy Switch Off Fortnight.

The programme will run from Monday, November 19 until Sunday, December 2 and encourages schools to reduce their energy consumption.

The scheme is being backed by Olympic gold medal-winning rower Katherine Grainger, as saving energy in rowing is also seen as important.
