Sending seasonal goodwill to troops

On Christmas Day our troops may be in a war zone but at least they will have some home comforts.

And it’s all because kind-hearted readers are donating to the Biggleswade Chronicle’s Afghan Appeal. The No 3 RAF Tactical Police Wing from RAF Henlow would love to receive a selection of the following items to brighten the festive period.

These are non-chocolate sweets, biscuits, crisps, nuts, freeze pops, roll-on deodorant, shower gel, toothpaste, foot cream, antiseptic cream, shampoo, conditioner, sanitary towels and puzzle books.

Drop items into the Chronicle’s offices by noon on Friday, November 9.
