Series of evening talks at b Gallery

A Toddington art gallery has launched a season of soirees to allow visitors to experience and celebrate art in all its forms and its history.

The series of evening exhibitions began at the b Gallery in Market Square with The Life and Works of Vincent Van Gogh on March 3, and continue with Painting History - the Art of the French Romantics, on Wednesday, March 17.

The upcoming soiree complements the National Gallery's current exhibition, titled Painting History, which runs until May 23.

The evening, which starts at 7pm, will be spent considering the work of the French Romantics and the Neo-Classicists, both of which had a huge influence on Delaroche's painting.

Other soiree evenings to come include The Eighteenth Century English Artist on April 14 and Reading Modern Art, How Can A Dead Cow Be Art, on April 28.

Admission is 18 per soiree if booked in advance or, space permitting, 22 on the door.

For the full first season programme, including details of a history of art course, email info@bgallery.co.uk or call 01525 877770.
