Sounds of charity at fundraising concert
A CHARITY concert is being held by the chairman of Central Beds Council.
Nexus Big Band, which is based in Sandy, will be playing alongside Rock Chorus, Shambles Big Band, Dunstable Town Band and Dunstable Concert Ensemble.
The concert, called Let’s Face the Music, will be held on Sunday (January 29) at the Grove Theatre in Dunstable. The music starts at 7pm.
Chairman, Peter Hollick, said: “The money will go to the individuals and small groups who are volunteers, who are helping their neighbours, the scouts and so on. For them £50 to £200 is a lifesaver.”
In 2011 £7,000 was raised over the course of the year.
