Lancaster Bombers took to the skies above Chronicle Country this weekend as the Shuttleworth Collection held its Flying Proms airshow.
More than 4,000 people attended to watch the Collection’s aircraft fly to a concert performed by the National Symphony Orchestra.
Una Watts, Shuttleworth’s general manager said, “It was a pleasure to see so many people come to enjoy this wonderful event, and to support the Collection in keeping its vintage aircraft flying.”
And there will be a second chance to see the stars of the show – the two visiting BBMF and CWHM Avro Lancasters. They are scheduled for a flypast over Shuttleworth this Sunday, August 24 at approximately 2.30pm.
