Steady Eddie celebrates 50 years at firm
A consultant and former senior partner at a chartered accountancy firm has celebrated 50 years in the job.
Eddie Fuller joined George Hay in Biggleswade as a trainee in 1962, working his way up to agricultural partner in 1985 and senior partner in 2010.
He retired as a senior partner last year but remains with the firm as a consultant.
His milestone was celebrated at a lunch at Moggerhanger Park on Monday (September 3), attended by staff from all three of George Hay’s offices.
During the lunch, Eddie was also presented with a framed picture of the firm’s Biggleswade office building and a framed ode penned by a member of staff, which was read out by senior partner Nick Willis.
Eddie’s wife Moira was also presented with an arrangement of flowers.
Eddie said: “Over 50 years I have seen many changes and I have been fortunate to have worked with some truly wonderful colleagues. I am delighted to be able to continue to do so as a consultant.”
