Stotfold Dental Clinic’s good practice
Staff at the clinic
Smiling dental surgery staff are showing their pearly whites after achieving an award for good practice.
Stotfold Dental Clinic has achieved membership of the British Dental Association Good Practice Scheme.
Practice manager Jacqueline Handscombe, dentist Sesh Rao, dental nurse Chloe Reeves and other staff are delighted with their new status.
Jacqueline said: “We had to do a lot of modules; health and safety, how we care for patients, infection control and all sorts of things. It’s taken us six months to do it.
“We sent in and said that we wished to be put forward for it. We had to submit seven pieces of work.
“It’s very hard to get so we’re extremely pleased.”
The clinic has been given a plaque to put on the wall and they will be sent an updated version every year for the next three years. They surgery is also updating all of its stationary to include the new logo.
The aim of the scheme is to ensure that practices are kept up-to-date and provide a quality service for their patients. It also provides recognition from a professional association, improves patient communication and supports business development.
Good Practice Scheme assessors visit random member clinics each year to ensure that they are still working to standard.
