Stotfold’s Victoria launches Ascot in style

Stotfold Olympian Victoria Pendleton CBE celebrated the launch of this year’s Royal Ascot in style on Thursday (January 24).

Victoria – who won gold and silver medals at the London 2012 Olympics and grew up in Stotfold – modelled a classic Ascot outfit at London’s Hyde Park.

She wore a hat by Philip Treacy and a dress by designer Emilia Wickstead to launch the world famous race meeting, which runs from June 18 to 22.

Victoria said: “I was absolutely thrilled to be asked to take part in the shoot, and I am a big fan of Emilia Wickstead and Philip Treacy.

“I have always loved Royal Ascot and have been several times, it’s one of the most exciting events of the summer social season.”
