Summer opening for new Tesco store

Tesco is confident its new store in Chronicle Country will be opening in the summer.

Representatives from the supermarket giant showed Sandy mayor Councillor Susan Sutton, town clerk Delia Shephard and others around the site for its new supermarket in New Road, Sandy on Tuesday (February 19).

A Tesco spokesman said: “We want to get it right rather than rushing.”

Residents had previously questioned why the opening of the store had been delayed.
