Tall tales at care homes in a week of storytelling
PLENTY of tales will be told next week to mark National Storytelling Week and four care homes are joining the fun.
The care homes are hosting special storytelling events throughout the week and are inviting members of the local community along to help revive the lost art of storytelling
The aim is to increase awareness of the value of sharing stories.
Events will be at Abbotsbury residential home in Biggleswade on Tuesday (January 31) from 11am, as well as at Allison House residential home in Sandy, The Birches residential home in Shefford and Pirton Hall nursing home in Shillington.
Abbotsbury home manager, Karen Patrick, said: “We are going to be bringing classic stories alive so everyone is welcome to join us, whether that’s to share a favourite story or to enjoy listening to other tales and fables.”
