Tennis courts available at leisure centre
A recreation centre is seeking tennis players who can book its courts.
A long-term customer who has previously booked the Stratton Leisure Centre courts in Biggleswade twice a week can no longer do so due to ill health.
The courts at the venue, located next to Stratton Upper School are available to hire on weekday evenings and at weekends.
The facility, formerly known as Biggleswade Recreation Centre is now looking for tennis players who would like to book the outdoor, floodlit courts, which were renovated in the summer.
They were also professionally cleaned and a new netball court was marked out. Netball posts were fitted and the previous tennis nets were replaced.
Jane Travis, trust lettings manager at Stratton Upper School said: “The new facilities not only benefit the students at Stratton Upper School but also the local community.
“We are delighted to welcome two local netball teams, Ivel Phoenix and Ivel Tigers to the Stratton Leisure Centre who have booked the courts for their home fixtures this season.”
