The appliance of science has reaped rewards at a lower school.
Staff and pupils at St Andrew’s Lower School in Biggleswade are celebrating after being awarded a Primary Science Quality Mark silver award.
Gold, silver and bronze awards have been given to 335 infant, junior, primary, middle and special schools across the country to celebrate the schools’ commitment to excellence in science teaching and learning.
St Andrew’s is one of 215 schools which has received the silver award accolade.
Teacher and science co-ordinator Heather Fory said: “We are very pleased. It was hard work to earn but it is a quality award and it made all the extra work worthwhile.”
