Thomas Cook store’s future determined

National travel firm Thomas Cook has told its staff which shops will be closing.

And today the company has said that the store in Biggleswade will stay open.

This follows Wednesday’s news that Thomas Cook UK & Ireland had entered a 90 day consultation process with a number of its UK employees on the next phase of the three year programme to transform its operations.

Thomas Cook currently employs 15,500 people in the UK and around 2,500 full time roles will be axed.

The two shops in Bedford are also safe.
