Thousands enjoy church fayre

A church’s annual country fair on Saturday (September 22) raised £6,000 for three charities.

Thousands of visitors flocked to the St Andrew’s Country Fayre at St Andrew’s Church in Biggleswade for a day of fun in the sun.

The money was raised for The Alzheimer’s Society and two African charities, the Savannah Education Trust and Hands at Work in Africa.

There was also an exhibition in the church entitled All That is Africa for fayre goers to see.

Visitors could also enjoy African drumming, a tug of war and a variety of other activities as well as stalls offering food and drink.
