Tough test for brains sees runaway winner

The teams tested their general knowledge skills at the quiz evening hosted by chartered accountancy firm George Hay, which has an office in Biggleswade.

The firm has held an annual quiz night, which pitches local business leaders against one another, for more than 20 years.

In total, 12 teams took part in the quiz held at John O Gaunt Golf Club consisting of solicitors, bank staff, estate agents and a professionals networking group.

The runaway winners this year were RHG Financial Services, who have been crowned champions for the last four years.

They were followed in second place by HRJ Foreman Laws, a firm of solicitors, and third were Barclays.

The quiz master, as always, was George Hay’s managing partner Barry Jefferd, who along with his wife put together all of the questions for the tough quiz.

Speaking after the event, Barry said: “The night was a great success, providing an opportunity for professionals in the area to challenge each other in an informal setting.

“RHG Financial Services showed their metal and were clearly the superior team on the night.”
