Students at Sandy Upper School celebrated the end of a successful year in style.
Year 11 students attended a Hollywood themed red-carpet event followed by a glamorous prom at Shuttleworth College.
The older Year 13 students marked the end of their time at Sandy with an elegant afternoon tea and a formal ball at the Sharnbrook Hotel.
Talking to the students, Prinicpal Balraj Hare, said: “You are amazing – you have developed and grown, become more determined, resilient and ambitious.
“You have been completely transformed and are our most successful year groups to date.”
July has been a fantastic month for the school as an Ofsted report lifted them out of Special Measures and revealed Sandy Upper had gone from inadequate to good.
The celebratory mood was evident as one Year 11 student said: “I’m not sad today. So many of my friends are staying here for Sixth Form that this can really be a celebration and not a goodbye.”
