Mid Beds MP Nadine Dorries has not had her Conservative Party whip restored after a meeting this morning.

Nadine met with Chief Whip Sir George Young in Westminster earlier today to justify her appearance on the reality TV show I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

When it was revealed that Nadine would take part in the programme the Chief Whip suspended the MP during her Australian trip, with the promise of a meeting upon her return.

In a statement Sir George Young said: “The Whip has not been restored and nor will it be until she proves that she can rebuild bridges with her constituents, her association and her parliamentary colleagues.”

The outspoken MP arrived back in the country yesterday after the Australian trip and gave her first UK interview to the Times & Citizen.
