Who nose how much money was raised for Comic Relief?

The spirit of Comic Relief was alive and well in Chronicle Country on Friday (March 15).

Companies and organisations around the area marked the occasion in style through a variety of fundraising events.

The Water Adventure Cadre youth organisation in Biggleswade organised a Great British Bake-off style event.

Sainsbury’s in Biggleswade also raised money for Comic Relief.

Some members of staff had their heads shaved for charity and there was face painting, competitions and promotions throughout the day.

Some schools are also took part, including Stondon Lower School and Gothic Mede Lower School in Arlesey.

At the latter staff and students participated in a bake-off – or cake-off – in aid of the cause.

Hairdressers at Maxwells salon in Biggleswade also wore Comic Relief T-shirts and wigs.
